Many people think of organ transplantation as a process that ends with a life-saving operation. Ask any recipient, and they'll tell you that that is not the case; rather, that the operation is the beginning of an entirely new way of life.

Writing to donor families

Donor families often say that hearing from their loved one’s recipients offers them great comfort and consolation. Knowing that someone has received a second chance at life helps to validate their decisions to donate. Often times transplant recipients don't know where to begin or what to say, so LifeQuest has created the brochure, Writing to Donor Families to offer ideas on how to compose a letter.

Just as donor families can turn to us for outreach, so can the individuals who have been graced by the gift of life look to us for similar support.
