Joseph Robinson

image

Joseph "JR" Robinson was always on the go as a child, teen and adult. From being a school crossing guard, making the honor roll, playing all kinds of sports, serving in the Army, working at different careers, and caring for his beloved daughter, his mother wondered if he ever got tired.

That changed forever in March, 2010 when JR was admitted to the hospital with a grave prognosis. When told by hospital staff that the Lord's will may be different than her will, she prayed for him to be "a walking miracle." Sadly, JR lost his battle to survive, and his mother consented to organ donation as a way honor to him.

He was able to donate his heart and both kidneys to save three other people.

In a letter sent to Joseph’s mother several months after his transplant, one of his recipients wrote that he was a walking miracle because of JR and his family's decision to donate.
